DUPR (Dynamic Universal Pickleball Rating) is expanding its partnership with GAMMA Sports, naming GAMMA's CHUCK Tournament Pickleball as the official ball for DUPR. The innovative ball features 38 holes for enhanced flight and durability, and will debut at the Collegiate Super Regional on February 3-4, 2024. DUPR's January 30th updates enhance the rating algorithm with a focus on improving accuracy and user transparency. The changes include the introduction of Win Intensity, which adjusts ratings based on match score spreads, and Match Recency, which emphasizes recent performance. The update also considers Match Count to refine learning from player activity. Existing ratings are adjusted to fit the new model, with an emphasis on increasing ratings for those positively impacted.
