With DUPR’s rating, all new players start as NR (Not Rated) and progress through a scale ranging from 2.000 to 8.000. Your rating updates automatically every time a result is shared.
Every match counts toward your rating — even against unrated or new players. Your DUPR updates automatically with each result, and you’ll have separate singles and doubles ratings.
Each match has an expected score based on the ratings of both teams. If your team performs better than expected, your rating goes up — and if you underperform, it goes down. The bigger the surprise, the bigger the change.
Players with more matches will see less fluctuation in their ratings compared to those with fewer matches. Recent matches impact your rating more than older matches.
Different types of matches count more towards your rating. For example, recreational matches have less of an impact on your rating, while DUPR club matches and director uploaded tournaments have more of an impact.
DUPR uses individual player ratings to calculate a team rating—the average of each player’s DUPR. These team ratings are then used to determine the expected score of the match.
If your team scores more points than expected, your rating goes up.
Each player’s rating adjustment depends on the number of matches they’ve played and how recent those matches are.
Play regularly to keep your rating dynamic and reflective of your current skill!
Your player profile shows two key numbers: your DUPR Rating (2.000–8.000) and your Reliability Score (1–100%).
Your DUPR Rating reflects your skill level based on match results.
Your Reliability Score shows your progress toward achieving a reliable rating — a low reliability score means your data is outdated or insufficient.
To keep your rating up to date, play often and log matches consistently. A higher Reliability Score means your DUPR Rating is more likely to reflect your current skill level.
